T-Mobile's recent performance is putting pressure on AT&T and Verizon.

AT&T and Verizon have both been targeting T-Mobile lately.
The battle to be recognized as the best mobile network is intensifying.
The debate began in June when T-Mobile asserted that it operates the best network. This statement was unusual for the company and triggered responses from competitors defending their positions.
Recently, AT&T and Verizon released advertisements challenging T-Mobile's claims, dismissing them as reliant on biased awards and false information. AT&T also criticized T-Mobile's pricing policies.
With AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon each using data from different analytics firms to support their claims, it is challenging to determine which carrier truly offers the best service.
T-Mobile aims to resolve this debate by highlighting its record earnings in the third quarter and the increase in new subscribers, which it says is "than at any point in our history."
In the third quarter, T-Mobile added one million mobile phone customers, surpassing AT&T, which gained 405,000 new subscribers. Verizon has yet to announce its earnings, but the recent departure of its CEO before the Q3 report suggests it may have lost customers for the third consecutive quarter.
T-Mobile's incoming CEO, Srini Gopalan, commented in October 2025 that aggressive behavior from competitors indicates pressure.
T-Mobile suggests that AT&T and Verizon are attempting to discredit T-Mobile due to their own vulnerabilities. Gopalan stated that T-Mobile's affordable plans will continue to attract customers. He added that AT&T and Verizon lack the flexibility to lower prices due to potential impacts on their profitability.
Although definitively naming the best network may be difficult, T-Mobile's growing customer base and the combined responses from AT&T and Verizon suggest that T-Mobile is impacting its competitors.
