T-Mobile will offer exclusive features for iPhone 17 and Galaxy S25 users on its network.

T-Mobile says that new phones perform the best on its network.
T-Mobile is touting its network's advantages, stating the Samsung Galaxy S25 operates at over 100% faster speeds on its network versus a competitor.
According to Andre Almeida, a T-Mobile leader, in October 2025, the iPhone 17 also runs 90% faster on their network than a competitor's. These claims indirectly target AT&T and Verizon, both of which have launched campaigns challenging T-Mobile's assertions regarding network leadership and speed.
T-Mobile suggests its network performance is a key factor for customers choosing them when upgrading devices. Customers can switch carriers once their devices are paid off, and T-Mobile believes these customers choose them because they see its network as superior.
The company believes that these network performance advantages add up. T-Mobile also claims to be the best in coverage and experience. While AT&T and Verizon dispute this, T-Mobile added 1 million mobile subscribers in Q3, while AT&T gained 405,000.
T-Mobile's outgoing CEO, Mike Sievert, said in October 2025 that their network is two years ahead of competitors and that they intend to widen this lead.
T-Mobile began its 5G deployment with 5G SA, which AT&T and Verizon have only recently begun to implement. The company asserts it maintains a two-year advantage that will continue to grow.
While T-Mobile is attracting new subscribers, some current subscribers are unhappy, citing issues such as the elimination of an AutoPay discount. However, the company has the lowest churn rate, indicating customer dissatisfaction is primarily online.
With T-Mobile gaining more subscribers and AT&T and Verizon focusing on T-Mobile as a primary competitor, the carrier appears to be in the lead currently.
