The Galaxy S25 FE is official and will be the first Galaxy S phone to feature One UI 8.

Samsung introduces minimal hardware upgrades and bets all on AI.
The Galaxy S25 FE has a slightly improved battery.
The Galaxy S25 FE has a 4,900 mAh battery, while the Galaxy S24 FE had a 4,700 mAh battery. The charging speed is upgraded to 45W, replacing the previous 25W, but only use Samsung-approved chargers and cords. The Galaxy S25 FE will not include a 45W adapter or cable.
Using a 45W charger, the phone can charge up to 65% in about 30 minutes. Wireless charging is also supported, up to 15W.
The new S25 FE is a bit smaller and weighs 190g, with dimensions of 76.6 x 161.3 x 7.4 mm, whereas the S24 FE was 8 mm thick. The design is similar to the prior FE model, featuring rounded corners and the Galaxy camera layout.
It is available in Jet Black, Navy, Icy Blue, and White.
The phone has an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, allowing submersion in 1.5 meters of fresh water for up to 30 minutes. Rinse and dry after getting wet, and avoid beach or pool use.
The Galaxy S25 FE is the first Galaxy S device that features One UI 8, which is Samsung's version of Android 16. Currently, only Galaxy Z foldables (introduced on July 9) have One UI 8, which is in beta for other devices.
AI is a focus, with AI features included via One UI 8 and multimodal AI systems that use voice, touch, and visual input.
Gemini Live provides real-time, visually aware conversations by using the camera to offer context-based responses. For instance, it can suggest clothing options based on the weather at a destination.
Now Bar puts information on the lock screen, including updates, notifications, music controls, and routines, with customization options. Now Brief gives daily summaries like traffic, reminders, events, and fitness updates.
Circle to Search with Google lets users circle items on the screen to get instant information. In games, this can provide tips and strategies without disrupting gameplay.
Knox Enhanced Encrypted Protection (KEEP) creates encrypted storage for apps within the device's secure storage, so each app can only access its own data. It works with Galaxy's Personal Data Engine to keep information and preferences stored locally, protected by Knox Vault, which enhances security and privacy.
The Galaxy S25 FE has the same starting price as the previous model.
It starts at $650 and is available today, including six months of free access to Gemini Advanced.
The S25 FE is focused on AI. It is a good choice for those who want a 2025 Galaxy phone without spending too much.
