The Galaxy S26 series, including Pro, Edge, and Ultra models, are rumored to be Samsung's thinnest phones yet.

Samsung seems obsessed with wasp-waisted devices. Do we even need super-slim phones?
The Galaxy S26 series is expected to feature thinner models.
Model | Expected Thickness | Reduction | Predecessor
------- | -------- | -------- | --------
Galaxy S26 Pro | 6.7 mm | 0.5 mm | 7.2 mm (Galaxy S25)
Galaxy S26 Edge | 5.5 mm | 0.3 mm | 5.8 mm (Galaxy S25 Edge)
Galaxy S26 Ultra | 7.8 mm | 0.4 mm | 8.2 mm (Galaxy S25 Ultra)
While a 400 mAh battery increase might seem small considering that 15,000 mAh phones exist, it is worth noting that it will be included in a slimmer design.
Reports indicate that the S26 Ultra may be the slimmest possible Ultra model with the current S Pen. To achieve a thickness below 7.8 mm in future models, an external or significantly smaller stylus might be necessary, or the S Pen could be eliminated altogether.
For those unfamiliar with Samsung, the Galaxy S26 Pro could simply be the new name for the standard Galaxy S26.
The Galaxy S series has traditionally included three models: standard, Plus, and Ultra. However, the S26 lineup might change this pattern.
A GSMA database entry for the S26 Pro (model number SM-S942), previously associated with the base S26, suggests a name change rather than significant hardware changes. The "Pro" designation could be a strategy to align with competitors like Apple, potentially allowing for price increases without substantial upgrades. The Plus model might be replaced by the Edge version.
Regardless of the names used, the Galaxy S26 models are expected to be thinner.
