The iOS 26 update will bring a smarter, sleeker, and more useful CarPlay experience to Apple users.

From a Liquid Glass redesign to widgets, live updates, and even video streaming (when parked), CarPlay is getting its biggest set of upgrades in years with iOS 26.

CarPlay is adding widgets, which were initially only available in CarPlay Ultra. Users can now view their calendar, weather information, smart home controls, and reminders on their vehicle's infotainment system through these widgets.

Additionally, live activity support has been introduced, enabling real-time updates within CarPlay. Sports scores, flight details, and package deliveries can now be displayed on car infotainment systems.

With these CarPlay updates, iOS 26 is a worthwhile upgrade.
