The iPad Pro with the M5 chip has the potential to fulfill the needs of creative professionals and power users. However, the software currently does not fully utilize its capabilities. The MacBook Pro might be a better option for maximizing the chip's potential.

The iPad Pro M5 may exceed current needs. The prior iPad Pro M4 (2024) was exceptionally fast, exceeding the requirements of most users. The M5 enhances performance further, but its purpose is not clear.

The iPad Pro is already a top-tier tablet. Its premium design and high price reflect its quality. While some Android tablets match or exceed its price, Apple leads in processing power.

Consider the Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, which measures 32.6 by 20.8 mm, close to a 14-inch MacBook Pro display, suitable for artists. Yet, the Android platform lacks professional-grade applications, making it less suitable for power users.

The Tab S11 Ultra starts at $1,199, similar to the iPad Pro M5, with the 11-inch model at $999 and the 13-inch at $1,299.

Both devices feature premium accessories, with Apple's being more refined. Samsung's S Pen lacks Bluetooth and vibration feedback, features important for creative tasks.

This is not a detailed comparison. The iPad Pro is already a powerful tablet, enhanced further by the M5 chip. However, its software and AI need to improve to match its hardware. It's like having a high-performance car limited to a parking lot.

The gap between hardware and software will widen when the M5 Pro and M5 Max arrive unless Apple improves its AI, AR/VR, and creative software.

The iPad Pro is future-ready, but Apple must develop the software to support it.
