The Pixel Camera app is receiving version 10.1 with an updated Material 3 design.

Google has made some changes to the next version of the Pixel Camera app.
Earlier versions of the Pixel Camera app displayed a circular button on each side of the shutter. The left button opened the last photo taken with an animation similar to a photo booth. The right button switched between the front and rear cameras, and showed a rotating arrow. In version 10, these buttons are now inside rounded squares called squircles.
The size of some fonts has increased, which can be useful for some users. The fonts for the optical zoom options (.5x, 1X, 2X, and 5X) for the periscope lens are now larger.
The Pixel Camera app 10.1 update includes a "Show dirty lens warning" that alerts users when the camera lens may be too dirty to take a clear picture. The description also suggests, "Wiping off the lens may help."
The ability to automatically adjust the FPS from 60 to 30, previously only on the Pixel 10-line, is now available on the Pixel 8 Pro and Pixel 9 series. Version 10.1 of the Pixel Camera app is currently available in the Google Play Store with a rating of 2.9.
"Iconic Phones: Revolution at Your Fingertips" will be released in a few months. The book covers the tech revolution of the 21st century.
