The upcoming OnePlus 15R could be faster than last year's flagship model.

The OnePlus 15R could indeed be a rebrand of the China-exclusive OnePlus Ace 6T.
OnePlus teased the more affordable OnePlus 15R at the OnePlus 15 launch earlier in November. Since then, some information about the device has appeared online, including rumors of a December launch. New details have now emerged regarding the chipset that may power it.
Tipster Debayan Roy, who has accurately predicted smartphone prices in the past, claims the OnePlus 15R will use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, expected to launch on November 26. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 will be a mid-flagship chipset, different from the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 in the OnePlus 15. It was previously thought it would have the same Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC as the OnePlus 13.
If this is accurate, the OnePlus 15R might be a rebranded OnePlus Ace 6T, rather than the OnePlus Ace 6, which launched in China last month and uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite 3.
Last year's OnePlus 13 uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, scoring around 2.8 million on AnTuTu. This result placed it slightly ahead of the Galaxy S25 Ultra (2.7 million) and Xiaomi 15 (2.6 million).
AnTuTu recently shared an image showing the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC benchmark score. Tested in the OnePlus Ace 6T, it achieved 3.5 million points.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 outperformed the Snapdragon 8 Elite in AnTuTu testing areas. It still trails the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, which scores over 4 million in AnTuTu tests.
The AnTuTu scores suggest the sub-flagship SoC in the Ace 6T, and reportedly the 15R, performs better than the Snapdragon 8 Elite in the OnePlus 13. Real-world comparisons will be possible when the devices are tested.
Leaks suggest the OnePlus 15R will be a rebranded Ace 6T. Since there is already information available regarding the OnePlus Ace 6T, the OnePlus 15R's specs can be predicted. The affordable OnePlus 15 model may have an 8,000 mAh battery with 100W fast charging.
The smartphone might also feature a 165 Hz display and a dual 50 MP rear camera. If the OnePlus 15R includes these features, it could be recommended for those who value battery life and casual gaming.
