This phone has a unique, currently unmatched capability.

Oppo takes well-known features and improves them in ways I haven't seen others do.
I won't elaborate on the many benefits of the Oppo Find X9 Pro, such as its exceptional battery performance, excellent display, high processing power, and impressive camera. Instead, I want to highlight a very useful function that has made parenting easier for me. It's a small improvement, but a worthwhile one.

Since my son's birth five years ago, I've always preferred phones that support Live Photos. These are brief, three-second videos that iPhones record just before and after you press the shutter, a feature that most users may not find particularly important.
The option to capture both a photo and a short video simultaneously is invaluable when preserving precious moments. It provides additional context to a still photo and allows you to select a different frame if your child moves, preventing blurry images.
I haven't used a phone lacking live photo capabilities since 2020. Although iPhones introduced Live Photos, the feature quickly became available on Android devices. Almost all major phone manufacturers now offer their own versions of live photos, such as Pixel's Top Shot and Samsung's Motion Photo.
Chinese phone manufacturers have amplified this by essentially replicating Apple's original concept on their devices. While some might criticize Chinese companies for imitating Apple's features, the reverse has also occurred, so there is no basis for moral superiority here.
As far as I know, the Oppo Find X9 Pro is the first phone that lets you take a Live Photo while also recording video. This is great for parents who have young children running around the house, creating chaos with their boundless energy and sticky fingers.
Many phones have been able to capture still photos while recording video for quite some time now (though not as long for the iPhone). The Find X9 Pro, however, now lets you capture either a still photo or a motion photo that functions like a Live Photo.
This is ingenious! I can now quickly tap the extra shutter button while capturing a 4K video of my son or daughter, and a live photo will be available in the phone's gallery.
Furthermore, when you edit the motion photo, you can select a different key frame and use a slow-motion effect to create a potentially stunning short video.
While this feature isn't revolutionary, and you might not always use it, I will definitely use it whenever I can, and I appreciate the thought that went into its implementation on the Oppo Find X9 Pro.
