Verizon is raising the price of some smartphone plans starting in September.

Some Verizon users will be paying $3 more for each line starting next month.
Verizon will increase the cost of certain Business Unlimited plans by $3 per line starting in September.
The plans affected are Business Unlimited Start 5G, Business Unlimited Plus 5G, and Business Unlimited Pro 5G.
This change occurs as Verizon promotes its customizable My Biz Plan, which was revealed in April.
Designed for small to mid-sized businesses, My Biz Plan offers a three-year price guarantee and allows users to customize their plans to avoid paying for unnecessary extras.
Depending on individual needs, customers may or may not benefit from switching plans. Some users may find the older plans more affordable even with the price increase, while others have reported savings after switching to the new plan.
This increase follows other recent price adjustments by Verizon, including raised Administrative and Telco Recovery Charges and Regulatory Charges, increased prices for tablet plans, changes to discounts, and the removal of some benefits. The company might also reinstate a previously retired fee.
These moves suggest Verizon is focused on increasing its profits, potentially reducing customer value. Many customers are reportedly dissatisfied, with some having already switched providers or considering doing so.
Despite appearing unconcerned about customer departures, Verizon did reinstate loyalty discounts for some customers after receiving negative feedback.
The reaction of business customers to this price increase remains to be seen. Verizon advertises significant savings with the new plan, suggesting that encouraging customers to switch from older plans may benefit them.
In other news, "Iconic Phones: Revolution at Your Fingertips," a new coffee table book, will be released this fall. The book aims to take tech enthusiasts on a journey through the technological advancements of the 21st century.
