Vivo's upcoming software is expected to heavily resemble iOS 26.

Vivo’s OriginOS is coming out next week with a design that lifts heavily from Apple’s Liquid Glass aesthetic.

Vivo's design incorporates a Control Center, squircle icons, translucent notifications, glass-like buttons, and gradients that are similar to Apple's design aesthetic. The lock screen wallpaper has shifting capabilities comparable to Apple’s Spatial Scenes, and Vivo’s voice assistant animation resembles the iOS animation for Siri. OriginOS will also include Focus Modes, which bear a strong resemblance to those found on iOS 26.
Vivo will likely emphasize flowing water when describing the design choices behind OriginOS 6, while also highlighting new AI capabilities. New features include a Live Photos AI Removal tool and a voice assistant.
The update also includes improved UI animations, designed to provide a faster user experience. According to a marketing tweet, every tap, scroll, and swipe should feel more fluid.
Imitating Apple has become common practice. Vivo's approach is quite overt, while Samsung's One UI 8.5 is more subtle. It remains to be seen who else will follow suit. Although it may be somewhat disappointing, this trend is not unexpected.
