Although convenient, the function appears to be problematic for some. One user reported that a pop-up notification about it appears too soon after being dismissed.
Many users also report that media playback does not resume after using the function, which is even more annoying. One user mentioned having to disconnect and reconnect CarPlay to get their music to play again. Others cite various flaws and issues that render the functionality unusable.
A Great Idea, If It Works
Given the user feedback, I can see why Google isn't promoting the feature more heavily. I like the idea of simply telling Gemini what I want to report, and if I have access to the feature, I will report a lot more incidents while driving. However, for me to do so, the function must function correctly. If it interrupts my music while I'm driving, I might switch apps, even if I enjoy using Waze.
