YouTube's 2025 Recap, highlighting top videos, is now available.

Unsurprisingly, The Beatles topped my music charts this year, with the Grammy-winning "Now and Then" as my most-played song. My 47 minutes of listening put me in the top 5% of listeners on YouTube Music. My next most-streamed artists included Bruno Mars, The Carpenters, Lady Gaga, and the Bee Gees. Besides "Now and Then," my top songs were:

Seth Myers' "A Closer Look" was my top podcast, totaling 417 minutes. YouTube Music also creates a playlist of your most-listened-to songs of the year. Find your "2025 Recap" playlist in the Library tab of the app.

YouTube Music Recap uses Gemini AI to answer 12 questions based on your listening habits. When I asked Gemini which new artist I should explore, it recommended The Backfires. Gemini also classified me as a "Disco Sphinx," a mythical creature with a lion's body rooted in classic rock (Beatles, Stones) and a human head that loves to dance (ABBA, Bruno Mars).

YouTube's 2025 viewing habits recap starts rolling out today in North America on mobile and desktop. It highlights your viewing interests with up to 12 cards that change each time you open the Recap, spotlighting top channels, interests, and even your viewing personality type. There are 14 different "types."
